The Capuchin Province of St. Mary has a ministry of spiritual and material caregiving to our homeless brothers and sisters in the Greater Boston area. Called "Capuchin Mobile Ministries", it conducts outreach trips several days a week to the places where the homeless congregate. There the friars and the volunteers offer them food, talk to them and listen to their stories and pray with them. This wonderful ministry will be coming to St. Joseph’s the weekend of Saturday, April 2 and we will help them in their ministry to our homeless brothers and sisters in Newburgh and Poughkeepsie. If you are interested in helping out in some way with this ministry opportunity (e.g, preparing the sandwiches and materials that will be distributed), please get in touch with Fr. Salvatore at [email protected] He will work with the coordinators of this ministry to determine how each person will be able to participate. And on Sunday, April 3 there will be a presentation on this ministry in the conference room of the parish center that will be given by the friars who do this good and holy work.
