Two of our fellow parishioners, Yobana Mercado and Joseph Martinez , are coordinating a fundraiser for our food pantry called “My People, Our Place.” It will be on Friday, June 7 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. in our church hall and will feature a taco competition as well as games to win food prizes. Tickets can be purchased at the door. This will be a fun event that will celebrate the culture and diversity of our community. Yobana and Joseh are part of the “Piglets” program, which is a service learning class for seniors, and whose mission is to help people in the community, including addressing food insecurity.
