On Wednesday, September 19 at 7:00 P.M. in the church hall, we will offer a presentation on Catholic perspectives regarding end-of-life issues. Our presenter is our fellow parishioner Lynda B. Crone, MA, BCC, who is a board-certified chaplain with over 12 years experience serving as a hospital and hospice chaplain in both Catholic and non-Catholic healthcare organizations.
Lynda will base her talk on the teachings of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. She will cover topics such as how to determine what is considered “ordinary” and “extraordinary” means of care; what our Catholic moral tradition says about pain relief, nutrition, and hydration; and how we can state our needs and desires in relation to our illness, our values, and our faith. All are welcome.
