The Seder meal is celebrated each year in Jewish homes at Passover time and Jesus instituted the Eucharist when He celebrated this Passover meal with His disciples. On Wednesday, April 9 at 6:00 P.M. in our church hall, we will gather to celebrate a Seder Meal and experience the origin of the Mass. We will use many of the prayers in a traditional Seder meal, sing songs and use ceremonial foods including haroshes, bitter herbs, matzoh and eggs. Supper will be a meal of baked chicken, rice, a green salad, and a quinoa salad.
There is no charge to attend this event, and we just ask that you RSVP by Friday, April 4 so that we know how much food to prepare. You can do so by contacting Kathy Seyfert at 914-388-7674 or at [email protected]. Or you can fill out one of the forms on the tables in the church and drop it off or send it in to the parish office. All are welcome!
